Thank You For Your Dedication & Devotion in Saving Families!!!😇
I wasn't that impressed with the place. They are supposed to help with finding affordable section 8 housing, but I found people were mostly on their own. They're supposed to offer counseling and psychiatric care but it wasn't easily obtained. The way they help with employment is a bank of computers to apply on line. I found this mostly a place to hang out and pass the time being bored, waiting to go back to the shelter.
I don't know where my family would be without SMOC! Truly a blessing to receive services from this company!
This is a good place to go for resources it kind of depends on what day you go..everybody can't be happy everyday I guess so yeh the air gets a little thick. I honestly have going there. I just don't feel compassion from staff it's a job so I try not to go.
I was greated with a warm smile and a friendly hello, how may I help you. The customer service was top notch, and they patiently answered all my questions.I did have to wait about 20 minutes for an appointment, but the atmosphere, and environment itself, coupled with comfortable seating made the wait seem like a few minutes. There is a very good deal of information available here, and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I can't actually even think of a negative comment to make ...the closest thing to a negative would be the parking, the lot is small, and in need of some repairs...but more of a issue is getting in and out of the parking lot safely. There is a series of Traffic lights a set of train tracks, and it's a very busy area.
Great place to find the resources needed by low income women and children as well as homeless individuals for shelter.
If you need help, smoc will do there best to provide it
Great place for getting certain types of help and services if your homeless and no one wants to help you out.
Everyone including the receptionist was pleasant and the application process was handled in a timely manner. On my way out the receptionist offered congratulations on my new certificate.
This place is such a good resource for anything and everything. They have zero judgement towards people, and will help anyone.
I love the people that work here. We donate toys and clothes every Christmas here. They are always so happy to see us.

A social service agency, South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC), is an agency serving metro west residents with help and the information people need to get back on their feet. The staff there is wonderful, and a special shout out to Sandy and Roz, and a heartfelt thank you to all who have helped me. I didn't feel demeaned or uncomfortable, and was treated with respect with every visit. I will say it's just a bit difficult o find; you actually take the driveway between 6 and and keep to your right after you pull in, and basically circle around the back of the building where you can park. That's probably the hardest part. It isn't well marked, and you can overshoot the entrance coming from either direction. Trust me I've done it on more than one instance. For a state I (believe) agency, they do the very best with the resources they have. It's a place you might not want to go to, but in times of need, it's nice to know you've got an a competent place to turn to. One caveat however. Due to the overwhelming need for assistance, the probably be a lag time, both in the waiting room and getting everything in place. Be prepared to bring every document you can think of as well!
